My 2020 Public Lands Recap

2020 was a year unlike others, but I still found a way to get out to explore public lands. It was fun to do a recap and reflect on what went into my visits and what I was able to see. I did the same for Quinn which you can see here.

What was great about the year is that I got to see and explore parks with Quinn. It fills my heart to have these adventures and to see how she takes in each site.

Here are a few of my favorite highlights:

  • Became an ambassador for both National Park Geek and Hello Ranger.

  • Saw Quinn reach 40 public land visits, 8 new NPS units, and explore more state parks.

  • Won 2 first-place awards and 1 honorable mention in the 2020 Friends of Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens.

  • Had amazing experiences in Shenandoah National Park where I saw Quinn make her first summit through a rock scramble and then do it again even faster later in the year.

Enjoy the recap!
